Easter Weekend

We had a non-stressful Easter weekend filled with some fun activities. We checked the boys out of school early on Friday and went to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden.  The boys had a super great time!

Above: This is our new friend, Larry. He works in the lab at the Dinosaur Museum. He gave the boys a private tour INSIDE the lab and showed them some fossils he was working on. Very cool!
Larry introduced us to the newest dinosaur, the Utahsaurus that will be on exhibit in the NEW museum in SLC.
 T-REX!

Below: This was so funny...some random girl jumped in the hole next to Jacob.

Saturday we woke up to what the Easter Bunny left and then went to Diamond Fork Canyon to plant trees with Sarah, Hunter and Dillon. It was Earth Day on Friday and Thomas needed to participate in a conservation project for his Conservation Award in Cub Scouts and since Aunt Sarah works for the Forest Service we have an "in" on things like that. It is so great to have a sister that is super sweet and helps us with projects that could be hard, but she makes them so easy to accomplish!! After hiking around the Red Rocks a bit and learning about some of the history there, we toasted marshmallows over a nice fire that Hunter and Brian built. It was a fun time!

Later that day, we met up with Brian's siblings and had a very simple BBQ with good food and fun folks. We hadn't had an official Easter Egg Hunt yet so we sponsored one on our front yard--racing the sunset.

Easter Sunday was just a regular Sunday.  We watched "He Has Risen" in commemoration of the real reason for Easter. Jacob's favorite church subject is the Resurrection and so he was excited to learn more about it...again.

Can you guess where this line comes from? "Do you realize I've had diarrhea since Easters?"
