...by the chimney with care, in hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be there.
Santa did come with only three gifts, the same for each boy so they don't have to share.
It was perfect for them as Mom and Dad rejoice,
that there aren't too many boxes of toys.
Christmas came, and it went, and now it's gone,
but the spirit is felt until January One.
The mess is cleaned up and all out of sight,
Merry Christmas, to all, and to all a good night!
